Welcome–I'm Dr. Leah Witt, Clinical Psychologist

Navigating significant life transitions, especially those following medical or neurological events, can feel overwhelming. If you or your family are facing such challenges, please know that you don't have to go through it alone.

With close to a decade of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, I am a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing thoughtful and effective support to adults and their families as they navigate these complex journeys in the outpatient setting. My doctoral training from the Minnesota School of Psychology has equipped me with a deep understanding of the interplay between medical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

Professional Path

My professional path since 2008 has taken me through diverse clinical settings, including intensive residential treatment, forensic services, chemical dependency programs, schools, and community mental health. This broad experience has provided me with a strong foundation and a comprehensive perspective on the challenges individuals and families face.

For the past nine years, I have been privileged to work within a collaborative inpatient interdisciplinary team, partnering closely with individuals and their families as they navigate the profound impact of medical and neurological injuries. This has allowed me to hone my ability to advocate for patients and effectively bridge the gap between medical and psychological needs.

Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach integrates compassionate adjustment counseling focused on adapting to loss and change as well as evidence-based cognitive remediation techniques aimed at improving cognitive function following neurological change. My aim is to provide support that is tailored to your unique situation, helping you and your family build resilience, navigate challenges, and work towards meaningful adaptation and well-being.

I believe in a collaborative partnership and strive to create a supportive and understanding environment where growth is possible. If you are seeking support during a significant life transition, I invite you to connect with me to explore how my experience can be of service to you.

Mission

My mission is to empower adults and their families to rebuild meaningful lives after neurological injuries like TBI, SCI, and stroke (CVAs), and also for those navigating life with ADHD.

Leveraging my extensive experience in rehabilitation psychology and diagnostic skills, I provide highly specialized, evidence-based counseling, cognitive remediation, and ADHD assessment services focused on fostering adaptation, enhancing cognitive function, promoting overall well-being, and providing clarity for individuals with related challenges.

I am committed to offering individualized, compassionate care that addresses the unique challenges faced by this community, facilitating resilience and maximizing potential in the outpatient setting.
